Effectiveness of Neem Seed Extract Formulation (Azadirachta Indica) and Bitung (Barringtonia asiatica) against Mealybug Papaya (Paracoccus marginatus) (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae)

The papaya mealybug (Paracoccus marginatus) Williams & Granara de Wilink (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) is a main pest of plants. Attacks by these pests can cause plants failed to produce the fruit and even death. usual control technique used farmers use synthetic pesticides that have negative impact on human health environment. alternative using botanical insecticides good solution population P. marginatus. purpose this study know effect neem seed oil formulation bitung which treatments with concentrations are most effective in reducing density pests. experiment took place Rejasari Village, Langensari Subdistrict, Banjar City, West Java, from March 2021 July 2021. Experiment Randomized Block Design consisted ten three replications. results were obtained 3% could suppress densities ( populations at 65%. average weight resulting contained found 9.8 kg/tree. be instead P.marginatus.
